This project involved the layout design of a 12×12 printed coffee table book honoring the life and 45-year ministry of Dr. Paul Magyar. The book was designed to serve as both a tribute and a historical record, using a timeline-based structure to guide readers through different seasons of his life—from early years and education to the churches he faithfully served. Photography plays a central role throughout, capturing key moments and milestones that reflect both personal and ministry growth over time.
The design focuses on clarity, reverence, and visual balance, allowing the content to feel organized without overwhelming the reader. Elements such as musical notation, soft textures, and understated typography were incorporated to reflect the nature of his work in church music while maintaining a cohesive and timeless aesthetic. Careful attention was given to pacing, image placement, and readability to ensure the book feels both meaningful and easy to navigate, resulting in a piece that honors a lifetime of service in a thoughtful and lasting way.
